SAYING GOODBYE TO YWAM TEAM

Here a little throwback to our farewell with the YWAM DTS team from Craiova, Romania, originally posted on our ministry Facebook group on March 7th:

Today we had to say goodbye to the YWAM Craiova DTS team after two weeks of fun, worship, service, travel, football, acting, fellowship, travel and LIFE together! After the intensive time we’ve spent together, they had to move on and we had to go back to our “normal”.

Although excited and feeling blessed with them being with us, their departure leaves a somewhat bitter taste in our souls. At times like these it feels like there's literally nothing we can’t accomplish. For example, the program you see in photos and videos we’ve prepared in only a couple of days! And then the departures and goodbyes, like the one of this morning, remind us that as long as the Lord Jesus doesn’t return, the harvest will remain plentiful the same as the workers will always be the few.

This couldn’t be more true than last Saturday when we arrived at Ashkali/Egyptian refugee camp “Riverside” in Berane. The welcome we received was super warm, with swarms of children running into our arms, chanting our names and jumping out of joy! Everyone loved that we (finally) returned there! A lot of familiar faces, hugging, warm and sincere smiles…the place covered in mud and dirt felt to us like a Garden of Eden.An occasion was even more special because some of the boys from the children/youth group took part in an evangelization program for the first time! They were so excited! But more importantly, they were taken aback by the scene - acknowledging the growth and maturing they went under - realizing that it is the Gospel and the church that had made all the difference between them and the kids they came to serve.
Again, special thanks goes to Abigail Blenman, Frederick and their team whose creativity, flexibility, hard work and humble heart made everything possible! Once again we’ve been proven that our Heavenly Father rejoices and blesses when His children are working together for His Kingdom.

Please join us in our prayers for the YWAM team members - the two leaders Daniel and Damaris Galai (and their lovely son Calel, the handsome one in my profile photo) and the three youngsters - Cristian, Janeke and Marisha! May they be blessed for their service to God and to us! May their future steps and decisions be influenced by God only and May they be blessed beyond their expectations! And may God cross our paths again soon!
