Visit to Italy

Dear friends,

It’s been too long since you’ve last heard from me and it is somewhat hard to pick up where I left it, as it feels like too many things happened too quickly and it is impossible to report on every single one of them. This time, I would like to turn your attention to my trip to Italy that took place in the beginning of April and the mission journey that followed.

Firstly, I ended up in Italy following the invitation of friends from Missione Rem with whom we’ve been partnering with for a few years now. Unfortunately, due to Covid travel restrictions, it was only now that I was able to visit them in Milano, Italy. The words are not enough to express my gratitude for everything these guys did for me in the 10 days that followed. I was given an opportunity preach in 8 different churches/home groups and have had chance to learn about the heart and soul of the evangelical church in (northern) Italy and Switzerland. It was such an encouragement to see everything God is doing, including the ways how he builds and equips His church there. What a privilege to see that!

Another exciting thing is that whatever church we went to, there they collected food for us in Montenegro. By the end of our time there, we had our van FULL of food - all for the needs of our ministry. All I can tell you is that there was more food than we could take with us, especially because on the way back we have brought 4 member team from Missione REM to help us conduct outreaches in the Roma communities and with the Ukrainian refugees. Anyways, going back home in an OVERLOADED van was a real adventure and it could be a post for itself. But thankfully, we got home relatively easy, had distributed food to the needy, helped the church planters in Cetinje with their work and had several exciting and fun events with the children and youth in Konik and Cetinje.

But even more than that, the Missione REM team brought with them fresh breeze of Spirit, joy, encouragement, humbled us with their zeal for God and how little they want in return for themselves. Their sacrificial generosity and faithfulness in supporting and lifting up other ministries was such humbling and eye-opening example of true living-by-faith life. Heavenly Father, please bless them by the measure of your richness and love! Also, many thanks to Samuele Russo and ACP Italia for making it possible for us to import this huge load of food into Montenegro! Thank you for making yourself available after midnight and helping us resolve things with the customs!
